Sculptures by
Professor Ralph Palmer
(1915-2000)
When this well-known celebrity sculptor passed away last year, he left behind his entire personal collection of his own work, including the plaster originals of many of his well-known sculptures. The collection is presently housed near Durban, South Africa.
Professor Palmer was a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, and an honorary life member of the respected Chelsea Arts Club. He graduated as a director of Philosophy in Museum Management from the California University in 1986.
Several of his works are in permanent collections such as the Imperial War and John Evelyn Museums in London and in the private collection of the late Sir Harry Oppenheimer.
Mrs Helen Palmer has decided to offer the collection, or individual pieces, for sale. Interested persons can contact Johan Grobbelaar on (032) 9461457 or on 083 7788533.
