In this bow Christensen demonstrates his skill for innovation in successfully deviating from several traditional practices. This is noticeable in the redesigned head shape and in the lovely pattern imprinted on the silver tip slide. The wooden adjustor button is reminiscent of baroque practices. The frog is of traditional design.

The use of snakewood in this bow would account for its somewhat heavy weight, but it articulates well and is a pleasure to play with.
