Even by viola standards this is an exceptionally small instrument which would be ideally suited for a small person. Despite its labelling the exact origin of this viola is unknown. It is unused and very nicely made, but the trade considerations in its making are clear.

The maple in this instrument is only slightly figured and almost plain. The top is of good tone spruce with a medium grain. The tracing of the purfling is very good and cornerwork shows attention to detail and fine mitres.
