This really attractive violin is characterised by superb workmanship throughout. The choice of materials contributes to its visual appeal and it conforms to high standards in lutherie.

This violin has tone to match its good looks. The sound is big with projection and clarity. It is a responsive instrument making it easy to play. The two-piece back is of attractive mildly flamed maple with a medium curl. The ribs, neck and scroll are of a more mildly figured wood. The top is of excellent tone spruce with narrow growth lines widening to the flanks. The fittings are of box wood. Attention to detail is manifested in the tracing of the purfling, the cornerwork, excellent mitres, the Fs and in a well-balanced and well-finished scroll.

This violin is suitable for very advanced playing.
