This website was conceived by Johan Grobbelaar. It was designed jointly between Johan and WEBPRO, an Internet Consultancy based in Durban, KZN, South Africa, who assigned two of its designers, Christie and Jo, to put it together, based on basic layouts provided by Johan.All photography and "charcoal sketch" graphic images of instruments used in this site, were made by Johan, who also wrote all the English text for the site.
All views expressed in this site, as far as the music instruments are concerned, are the views of Johan Grobbelaar and are presented in good faith.
Wherever the first person pronoun "I" is used on this website, it refers to Johan Grobbelaar.
In order to speed up download time of photographic .jpg files, a fairly high compression is used, which at times compromises the quality of the images. This is a choice of the lesser of two evils.
Starting in March 2006, the file sizes and resolution of all new photos posted on the site will be significantly increased. With the increased use of broadband connections by more and more visitors, this should greatly enhance the quality of the photos on the site without significantly impacting on the download time, provided a broadband connection is used.
The regular updating of this site is undertaken by Johan.

During the course of 2004 this website was transferred to a server in the USA, which has greatly increased its speed and accessibility. It currently (March 2006) receives around 75 000 visits per month.
