Tonally this cello is in a separate league for instruments suitable for solo and concert performance and should be in the hands of a serious player, or someone seeking a new door of progress.

It is based on the Stradivari model and seeks to emulate much of the finer qualities of that maker. Workmanship throughout is of a high order, displaying attention to detail. It speaks with ease, responds to demand and is a pleasure to play. In this one sees the manifestation of the long and well-established tradition of high-level instrument building in Hungary.

The two-piece back is of mildly flamed maple with a medium curl, repeated in the ribs, neck and scroll. The top is of unusually fine tone spruce with very straight medium to narrow grain, consistent from flank to flank. The appealing amber-brown oil varnish over a yellow ground is translucent, allowing for light interaction with the wood.

One notices the flawless attention to detail, particularly in the tracing of the purfling, the outstanding cornerwork and mitres, and in the scroll, which is balanced and elegant.

Although being a new instrument built in 2022, this cello is slightly antiqued - tastefully done and very much in line with this practice as applied in other studios, and accepted as a norm in international violinmaking competitions.

At this time this cello is fitted with a Belgian bridge by Aubert, a light-weight professional quality tailpiece, and a firm steel endpin, ensuring stability during performance. The rosewood pegs are an attractive match for the reddish-brown varnish.
